But then we grew up too fast, left the safe nest for the lights of city life, lost the sense of our own tribe. Now it’s time. Let go of the shore. Surrender to the water. Hear the spirits call: remember what they taught us when they held us in their arms, sweet Oxum and Yemanja. Time became illusion, blind confusion; we made gods of wealth and power, measured life in gold and hours.
